Children's Mental Health Week
Dear Parents/Carers,
This week is Children’s Mental Health week. As a school we will be celebrating the kindness that your children show to each other, the staff, visitors in school and to their families at home. We are supporting the Now and Beyond Organisation, who have put together a vast array of resources and activities to inform and support children with their mental health.
If you would like to find out more for yourself, you can access their website at: https://nowandbeyond.org.uk/
We are holding an “Inside out day” on Wednesday 3rd February 2021. Your child can come to school in non-uniform which can be worn inside out. This is a fun way to remember that we need to be kind as much as we possibly can – as you never know how someone is feeling on the inside.
We will be teaching the children that it is ok to share and express their feelings and that we all feel different on the inside. We will be discussing how to share and talk to trusted adults, family members and friends.
We are looking forward to this special week and we hope you will all join in at home and school to support this fantastic cause. Enjoy wearing your clothes inside out, fun is just what we need in these very difficult times.
Thanks
The Redeemer Well-Being Team
