As a school we work collaboratively with the Pennine Lancashire Teaching School Hub.  We support the TSH to deliver high-quality training and development to new and experienced school staff.  This is part of the government’s plan to raise standards by developing a self-improving and sustainable school-led system.

We play an exciting and important role that involves:

• Being associate lead for delivering high quality training for Early Career Teachers including mentorship for schools within Blackburn with Darwen

• Being the Appropriate Body for Blackburn with Darwen

• Supporting the delivery of the suite of NPQ's

• Providing high quality school-to-school support to spread excellent practice, particularly to schools that need it most

• Providing evidence-based professional and leadership development for teachers and leaders across Blackburn with Darwen

In addition, we also work closely with the Local Authority and  help broker support for other system leaders, co-ordinating the supply and activity of local leaders of education (LLEs), national leaders of governance (NLGs) and specialist leaders of education (SLEs). We also help prevent underperformance by supporting vulnerable schools.
